Local Recycling of Organic Waste and Organic Vegitable Production (Photograph by Tada on Jun. 6, 2008)

The Central/Local Governments and organizations in Japan have been seeking "local recycling system of residual materials" and "efficient resource utilization" due to the lack of resources and waste issues. A farmer who lives in Aizuwakamatsu city, Fukushima Pref. has agreeed with Aizu Co-op to receive  food processing residue, which enable him to produce and sell organic vegitables like the above photo. The farmer ships 20 percent of mini tomato to local retails, the remainings to Kanto Area. The author may say that this farmer is one of cases in " local recycling of organic waste and its efficient utilization".
